This engaging session explores the role of arts-based practices in therapeutic settings, highlighting how creative modalities such as music, art, and movement can be powerful tools for healing and self-expression.
The panel discussion (9:45 AM) will feature insights from experienced professionals in the field of counseling and creative arts therapy.
Panelists Liz Maher, LPC; Anysia Palmer, MMT, MT-BC, NMT, CTP; and Kayla Kroeker, LPC will share their perspectives on integrating arts-based approaches into clinical work, discuss their effectiveness across diverse populations, and reflect on practical applications in both individual and group settings.
Panelists:
Following the panel, a student workshop (10:15–11:15 AM) will provide participants with an interactive opportunity to experience arts-based therapeutic techniques firsthand. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how to implement these approaches in practice while developing their own creative tools for future clinical work.
