Bio
Michelle Yeoman, PhD, earned an M.S. degree in biology (2012), an M.S. degree in science and technology journalism (2013), and a Ph.D. in medical anthropology (2024)—all from Texas A&M University. She is currently a faculty member at Texas A&M University where she teaches writing-intensive courses for students majoring in biomedical sciences. She also leads summer study abroad programs to Europe that focus on culture and medicine. Her research interests are in medical humanities, cultural studies, and science communication. One current project focuses on cinematic storytelling in television medical dramas such as Grey’s Anatomy, which can illuminate how both patients and aspiring healthcare providers envision medical practice.
