Description
This workshop is designed to give participants an experience with the different modalities of Pauline Oliveros’ Deep Listening. We begin with simple listening exercises, then movement based on Heloise Gold’s study of Qi Gong and Tai Chi, and end with dreaming exercises written by IONE. All of these exercises are accessible and adaptable ways to help participants feel more grounded and connected with their self, environment, and community. Though the study of Deep Listening was led by musicians and artists, the practice expanded across disciplines to include martial artists, therapists, bodyworkers, psychologists, and more. This expansive practice can provide great clarity to the listener and is widely applicable to all people seeking a new way to connect with the self and sphere. The event will be 90 minutes long and can accommodate a group of up to 25 people.
To reserve your spot, please RSVP as soon as possible.
