Bio

Bryan Kim is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University, game designer, and entrepreneur specializing in digital therapeutics. He created Emotion Adventure, a Theory of Mind training game for children with autism, and EyeRehab, a VR tool for visual rehabilitation. His research introduces selective simulation, a design framework for crafting therapeutic mechanics that align play with clinical intent and move beyond commercial categories like RPG or FPS.

Bryan earned a Master of Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and a Ph.D. in Critical Game Design from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He worked at Epic Games on Fortnite before founding the digital-therapeutics venture MeDKit. At Texas A&M, he teaches and researches the intersection of usability, therapeutic efficacy, and playful design.
