Bio
Anysia Palmer is the curator of Music Therapy in Color. She is a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) who is passionate about music, cultural diversity, and mental health. Anysia holds a Master's degree in Music Therapy (MMT), a designation as a Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT), and is a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP).
Anysia brings over 28 years of musicianship, 21 years of professional vocal expertise, and 13 years in education to her position as the curator of Music Therapy in Color. It is her goal to create a space that amplifies the work, ideas, and creative expressions of BIPOC communities to work toward holistic healing. Using culture-centered and innovative techniques, she is committed to positive change that will help each of us bring music therapy into our daily lives.
